trip to parliament house

just a few days ago we went to Parliament House and we had lots of fun we sat in counselors chairs and Peter Cumming himself took us through the house we also went up to the top where a giant clock is and it went off just as we were up there.

Leadership Day

At leadership day we played games and did puzzles. Also at leadership day we played a game where you pass a rubber chicken around. When the music stops the person with the chicken is out. At the end of the day we lit a candle and turned out the lights and we all prayed. I thought the best part of leadership day was when we did the quiz because I thought I was really good at it. What we showed at leadership day is:

Homework

Its the third week of school and we already have homework. For homework we have a grid and maths. For maths homework it is in 4 coloms Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday. On the grid we have lots of defrent things like art,reading and leadership.

Games

At our school we play 44 home. How we play is one person counts with their eyes closed count to 44. Everyone goes and hides while the other person counts. When the person is done counting everyone has to run and touch the tree and say 44 home.

Maths

In maths today we hade to work out how long it would take to write 0 to 1,000,000. Our answer was 3000 minutes.

End of School

It`s almost the end of school again and everyone is so excited about it. Teachers are getting really strict now. At the last week of school everyone hands out candy canes.

City Cat

On the weekend me dad and my brother took the City Cat to South Bank but we ended up stopping at a place I forgot the name. When we got there we walked to Queen Street Mall where I went into City Beach and I bought a new belt.

At Camp

At camp we went canoeing, raft building and free swim. In raft building we had logs, buckets and rope to build the raft. In free swim we got to do what ever we wanted. We also painted boomerangs. We found out that boomerangs were used for hunting.

In writing block today I read Unreal. It is writing by Paul Jennings. I have read this book before but I am reading it again because I like it so much. I have read all the rest of his books before most of them were pretty good. The one I like the best is Quarry Tails because it was the easiest and the longest book out of all his books.

Free dress

At school today we had another free dress day. I wore brown shorts and a brown top.

1M buddies

In year 1m we have buddies that we blog with. We help them with their blogs like posting and picking a template. I have helped my buddy post about himself and what he does in school and on the play ground. I was a Effective Communicator when I helped my buddy make his blog because I had to listen what he wnated to do. I was also a Community Contributor when I gave up my time to help the little kids with their blogs.

Book

I boroed Blood Moon. It is about a murder mystery. This is a bit from the book.

The body lay at the bottom of the stairs. He wore red and green pyjamas. It took a second to realise that the red was blood. An old man his eyes were still open. For one dreadful moment I thought he was alive but no one can live with a hole in their neck.

Tomorrow we are having Assembly and Ross Vestar is coming. Two people are talking up on the stage from our class.

Art Show

In Art Show we painted pots. Everyone in the class did a pot. They are going to be auctioned at the Art Show. Not only pots are going to be auctioned at the Art Show but other art work that other classes did. We are going to auction a Brisbane Broncos Jersey that are sighed by the Broncos. It starts at 12:00 and ends at 2:00.

Free dress

Tommrow is free dress day we get to dress up what ever we want. We have to bring a gold coin for the Art Show. I do not know what I am going to wear yet. It going to be funny seeing everybody dressing up.

Sport

Every Thursday we ave sport. We have to do laps around the oval. We play hockey and soccer. We also play other ball games like doge ball and if you drop the ball you lose. We go strate after little lunch at 11:45. Our sport teacher is called Mrs C. We also have runing races too. Most of the time we don`t have sport because we have something else on and we miss sport.

word wall

Word Wall is where one person chooses a chant on the word wall and the rest of the class says the chant. We have chants like Nose which is were you hold your nose and spell the word. There is another one which is called Ride n`Cowboy is where you turn your chair around and swing your hand around. Another word game is called don`t break the ice. It is where you get in a circle and one person starts spelling a word and the person next to him says the next letter.

My second favourite cartoon is Family Guy because it is entertaing and funny. My favourite charter is Stewie because he is funny and he is a evil genius.

Antarctica

This term we are studying Antarctica in school. My favourite animal in Antarctica is the Killer whale because they are at the top of the food chain. My least favourite animal would be starfish because they do not do anything. The thing I like most about Antarcica is the whales. The thing I do not like in Antarctica is all the ice. If I went to Antarctica I would go and see the polar icecapes.

I just read the book Tins. This book is about this kid who finds a finger in a tin and the letter that says help in another tin. It sends this kid on a dangerous journey that almost gets him captured and is a slave forever. His friend Charlotte saves him.

This is my favorite movie The Simpson's movie. I saw it two weeks ago on Saturday. My favorite character is homer because he is the funniest. My least favourite character is epa because they put the huge dome on Springfield. If I were one of the characters I would just dig under the dome. If I were epa I would I would not destroy Springfield for a new grand canyon. If I were the Simpons I would not move to Alaska.

Today we did not do reading block because we had Assembly in the church. We have Assembly every Wednesday. We sing songs and get awards and birthday stickers.

I just did the maths test I think I did really good in it. It was not very hard like I thought it would be. Mrs Arnald said it was grade 3 to year 12 and it was easy. We got 40 minuts to finish it.
